I've waited years to get my mixer. This was the year to treat myself with my tax return. I wonder why I waited so long. It makes mixing up 4 loaves of bread a cinch. Christmas cookies are going to be a fun experience, like when I helped my grandma mix up all her goodies with her stand mixer, back in the 50's. I love my pro mixer.

Customer Buzz
I love to bake and i would be lost without this guy. I can make two bundt cakes at once in this{i love to share goodies with friends and neighbors}.
I just wish the blades were made of stainless steel and were dishwasher safe.

Customer Buzz
I brought this for myself for Christmas. I love it. The mixer does whatever I ask of it. It does a great job. I have had other mixers in the past where the beaters lift up. I had no problem getting use to the fact that the bowl lifts on this one. I am not concerned about the weight since I leave the mixer on the counter waiting for the next batch of cookies to be made. I am also proud of the mixer and like to show it off.

Customer Buzz
Have only used the mixer a couple of times. So far it is great. It was delivered on time and in perfect condition

Customer Buzz
My family has used KitchenAid stand mixers since 1953. The latest one is vastly improved, as its flour capacity has been increased from 8 cups to 14 cups. It also has an electronic slow speed control, to keep freshly added flour and liquids from spilling out of the mixing bowl. This has made this new machine much more usable, as cleaning up after spills had been a real nuisance with the smaller models.
The only drawback is, that smaller quantities (like whipping cream for one cup of coffee or less than 4 egg whites) can be a problem, unless you have a smaller hand mixer for that.
But having a less troublesome machine has increased usage considerably and the savings thereby have been great.
The new mixer also has a very different heavy dough spiral (not a hook anymore) which keeps the dough from creeping up and onto the powerhead, which was another clean up annoyance of the old hook (making it less fun and efficient to use).

KitchenAid KP26M1XNP Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer, Nickel Pearl

I have this mixer. It replaced my Hobart Mixer that I had for almost 25 years. In my humble opinion, it is easier to use plus the attachments are much easier to attach to the mixer.
I make Fancy Desserts professionally and this is one of the few mixers that can handle the thick Frostings which I use on the Wedding Cakes.
I have my Great Grandmothers recipe for bread and with the bread hook, it is so much easier to knead. And my arthritic hands do not ache afterwards.
I wish I had checked Amazons price when I bought mine, but unfortunately, I did not. I noticed that Amazon's new price beat my price by a good $150 and the used products even more.
I buy most tools from Amazon as well as some grocery supplies and have always been delighted with the speed and customer service as well.

Customer Buzz
This is a very versatile and useful machine with a powerful little motor in it. I would recommend it to others. It is durable. This one has a 6 quart bowl and can hold a good size batter. I am very happy with it. I used to have a Hamilton Beach stand mixer years ago and it was not well made. It was cheaper, but the materials were cheaper also--plastic casing, etc. This is good solid metal and strong motor. It's a good piece of equipment for the kitchen.

Customer Buzz
I recently purchased the Prof. 6 qt stand mixer. It has a lot of power. I had previously owned a 4.5 qt that just wasn't big enough to make my roll and bread recipe. I have made this year my year to learn how to make bread. It took a little adjustment getting used to the different size bowl. I am still working on that. I love the mixer. In some ways, I almost wished I had just gone with the 5 qt since I make smaller batches. I often have to scrap the bowl for my 2 cookie sheet roll recipe and 3-4 loaf bread recipe. However, I just started using the paddle beater first and that has helped. If I were doing a lot of big batches, I would definitely get this machine. If doing smaller items more often, I would go with the 5 qt I think. I love Kitchen Aid mixers. They make life easier. And the family loves the homemade bread. It really does a wonderful job mixing.

Customer Buzz
This is a great mixer for SMALL batches of bread dough IF it's not heavy (like bagels). It absolutely does not have the "flour power" they state it does. In fact, when mixing less than what they consider safe, it broke the mixer. I'm thankful for their warranty (it rocks!), but I just can't use this for what I do most.

It does a wonderful job with cookies, egg whites, potatoes, meatloaf and the like, but if you're a serious bread maker and want something reliable, check out a Bosch universal mixer instead. It's not pretty, but it's a workhorse and does 12 pounds of dough at a time and never needs to rest. The Kitchenaid just doesn't have what it takes to get the job done, even for a medium batch.

I sure wish the kitchenaid was better in this area, as it's a beautiful machine and works so great in other ways. Bummer.

Customer Buzz
Before I purchased the 600 series KitchenAid mixer, I would have made sure I knew exactly how to receive the promotional materials promised - a $40 debit card, a book of recipes and a magazine subscription. When I clicked for more information regarding these promotions, before I ordered the mixer, the information said that if guidelines weren't apparent, then the information would be in the box. There was no information in the box. And to attempt to go back to the orginal web site was too daunting. Through obfuscation of information the promotional perks I was promised never appeared.

Customer Buzz
This cookware is fantastic. Most recently, I sought to simmer some plastic tubing that I had use for brewing beer so as to loosen the grime inside it. Long story short, I forgot about it over high gas heat, all the water boiled out and the sauce pan sat over high heat for over 30 minutes with no water! The tubing had melted to the surface and I was prepared to toss the pan in the trash as ruined. I poured some water in the pan to cool it down and was able to completely remove the melted plastic tubing (just lifted right out!) and wipe the pan clean with no scrubbing. The non-stick was in perfect condition and I used it the next night. This is a QUALITY set of cookware. Do yourself a favor and get this. Anolon has a lifetime customer in my book.

Customer Buzz
We bought this product because Amazon said in their bullets "Dishwasher safe, but handwashing recommended." But in fact, the care instructions that come with the product are very specific NOT to put it in the dishwasher, that it completely VOIDS the warranty.

This is frustrating because no matter how hard we try, we cannot teach my mother, who lives with us, NOT to put pots and pans in the dishwasher! We bought these thinking we'd be OK-- she would not ruin them-- and now it's hopeless to even think about getting them all back in the box to ship them back (the care instructions were at the bottom). I could scream.

Customer Buzz
Got a simliar set almost thirteen years ago as a wedding present. It's been through a family a four, here are my pros and cons:

Pros: Heavy which means even heating and better temperature control.
Handles are sturdy, they're solid even after years of use
Stainless steel elements of the cookware are solid. They look as
good as the day that we got them. Clean up beautifully.
The size of the skillet is perfect for cooking large amounts of
food. Hard to find a reasonably priced skillet in this size. It's
been a favorite of mine. Steamer size is also good for family
style cooking amounts.

Cons: The surface is unforgiving. Do not, under any circumstances, put
it in the dishwasher. My mother in law did this with one of the
pans after I had it for a year and KILLED the non-stick surface.
This was quite an unhappy surprise, considering that I've purchased
cheap teflon skillets at Kmart that have performed better than
that! Your heating capabilities are limited also, because of it.
Clean up on the inside is easy. Cleanup on the outside can be a
challenge if something oily spills onto it and isn't immediately
and completely removed. Gooey, no problem. Baked on grease is the
issue.

Because of the handwashing issue, because of the limitations of the surface, those would be the reasons why I wouldn't buy this set again. It's sturdy, that's for sure. I would consider this a reasonable value for the money. However, if I'm going to invest further into my cookware, I'm going heavy stainless steel and will forevermore bypass the non-stick stuff. I want soemthing that I can slap into the dishwasher and use an SOS pad on it for quick cleanups. Gone are the days where I want to fuss with my kitchenware. I don't want to spend my time on it and I don't want one mistake with cleanup killing my investment.

I spent over 2 months contemplating which set I should choose, and I am happy I went with the non-stick kind! All different food cooks great and very evenly, I am very happy with my new set. The only thing I am NOT happy with is the fact that the handles on the pots and the lids gets scorching hot (does not stay cool like it says in the brochure that comes with the set!) so you have to use pot-holders or you'll burn your fingertips off. I have a regular electric range, and never use a setting more than medium-hot....so it's not that I am over-heating anything. Also: this is a VERY heavy set; so if you have arthritis or any other weakening of bone/muscles this is NOT the set for you. I am used to carrying around a 22 lbs 1-year old so it is not a big deal for me, but I know my grandmother would have had a very hard time lifting these pots/pans off the stove (especially filled up with water, soup or anything else!). If you're in good health and have a nice pair of pot-holders: go for it; you won't regret getting the Analon set:-)

So far so good...we have had the Anolon Professional 12-Piece Nonstick Cookware Set for three months. It is the right combination of pieces. The clear tops are a nice change for us. The non-stick surface has been good. Some of the handles are more likely to get hot than others...my sense is that they are not supposed to get hot. Not a deal breaker for us, just a minor disappointment.

Customer Buzz
This is the same set I lost through a divorce, but at a fraction of the price originally paid at a department store. The set I lost custody of was at least 8 years old and was stil giving excellent service, even with everyday use. I'd recommend this set to anybody, regardless of cooking skills.

Customer Buzz
I have the stir fry pan from this set, bought as an open stock item. After about 1-1/2 year of heavy use, the nonsticking surface is damaged. You may see other reviews about this issue, but I have not seen any nonsticking pan that will last over 2 years.

Anyway, I packed the pan and sent to Anolon warranty service, together with a note about the problem. The original receipt was long gone so I did not include it. A couple weeks later a brand new replacement arrived at my home. Anolon really stands behind their warranty.

Customer Buzz
I have had this set of pans for three years now and have been very happy with them. I use my pans on a daily basis and am pleased that they have kept really well.

They are very easy to clean and care for. As care instructions recommend for any non-stick cookware, you must keep metallic utensils well away from them. I have not had any problems with the surface coating degrading other than normal wear and tear that is expected with use. I have notice that there are a few shallow scratches, but I suspect that is due my naughty roommate!

A long time ago, I read a review for these pans in which the user wrote that once you make a scratch, the coating around it will get worst and worst. I have kept my eye for that, and I have not noticed that for my pans.

The one point that I would like to make however, and I suspect other have also noticed it, is that the lid handles do get really, really hot when you are using it to cover the pan whilst cooking. I don't know if other pan sets deal with this problem a lot better than this set. But the pan handles themselves manage heat transfer perfectly. Also, heat transfer of the pans for even cooking is great.

I will be continuing to use my set for at least another few years, so I would fully recommend any enthusiastic cook to grab these pans. The pricing is also a bargain for the quality of these pans. Happy cooking!!

Customer Buzz
Definitely a good purchase. I bought this set about 4 months ago and they have been perfect! They still look brand new. Yes they are heavy, but that's a plus, they are thick and distribute heat very well.

Eggs cook well on the non-stick.
The strainer is awesome to steam artichokes in the large pot.
The saucer is perfect for even cooking veggies you would cook in a wok.

This is a very versatile set.

Customer Buzz
I haven't used all of the items in this set, but the ones I used are great. Definitely not sticky.
The handles do get hot, but just use oven mits.
Good quality.

kitchenaid kfpm770 food processor, brushed nickel

Product Description

kitchenaid Model KFPM770 Food Processor packs 700 watts of power on a gleaming brushed nickel finish. This food processor has an ultra wide mouth feed tube, three bowls, and all the tools for your creative cooking. Combine all this with kitchenaid's hassle-free replacement warranty, and you will have everything you need for shredding, slicing, dicing and mincing.

Customer Buzz
I received this food processor a few weeks ago and am so pleased! The old one does not allow me to perform the whole recipe in one time. As this model has several bowls, you can use them without clean each time you process something for the recipe. The model is also more silence than the old one.
I didn't like the citrus juicer, I could not use it very well.

Customer Buzz
We bought this Kitchenaid a few months ago - after 20+ years of using a Cuisinart - and couldn't be more pleased. The Amazon reviews on both the Kitchenaid and the Cuisinart were what helped us make the decision.

Two things I noticed that people had complained about:
1. Getting plastic shards in food - this happens ONLY when the bowl gets too full. [I know from experience :-)]. While it is apparently a design flaw, you can avoid it by emptying the bowl before it gets full.

2. Food getting caught inside. There are several bowls in this food processor. I couldn't get the next-to-largest out of the main bowl - I tried all kinds of things to remove it, but no luck - and didn't want to break it... Food particles _did_ get between the two bowls. I was able to wash them out, but what a waste of water. Last night, as I was emptying some veggies out of it, the next-to-largest bowl fell out. I'm not putting it back in!

And a tip! Do read the directions before using this if you're a Cuisinart user - on the Kitchenaid, you _must_ remove the top before removing the bowl from the base.

Happy cooking!

Customer Buzz
My wife and I are very satisfied with this food processor.

Note: It comes with extra blades, bowl scraper, shreaders, slicers, juicer attachment, dough blade and so on all in a neatly organized storage case.

Very happy.

Customer Buzz
I wish I had ordered one of these years ago. I bought plastic replacement parts for my cuisinart twice. This one works well, quietly, and handles the loads of veggies I process with ease. Love it. I wish I had bought it it designer red. The only thing I don't like is that I always end up washing all three bowls, even if I only use the little chopper. How do you keep the outer bowls clean? The rim of the bowl gets food into it which fall down between the bowls and I end up rinsing all, at the very least. If this processor lasts without replacements for any decent amount of time, I will offer a full 5 stars, however, so ask me for my opinion in 5 years.

Customer Buzz
I bought this KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor, Brushed Nickel for my wife thinking that it would do well on making her protein shakes, while being quiet in the process. Her blender puts out about 100 decibles, irritating to me, not so much to her. Well this machine is really quiet, for sure. We experimented with the different utensils and bowls to try and get the consistency of her protein shakes that she likes and gets from her blender. While adding the ingredients, some of each ingredient scattered to the roof of the bowl, and didn't get mixed in. For some reason all we could obtain was a thick pudding type mixture that wouldn't pour. For me, this was not a wise purchase, it will probably sit on the kitchen shelf, lonely for attention. Now I will research for a quiet blender, and try that route. P.S. I have seen in the past what this machine can do to chop vegetables and such and for that I know it can do a great job, but my wife has a small hand operated chopper she uses for her salad preparation which is lightweight and easy to clean. This machine on the other hand is heavy and uses more components to do the same job, so she'll probably not use it for salads either.

Customer Buzz
I like the looks of my new processor and the way the extra pieces are contained. I have not used all the features yet, but what I have used so far has been good. I have struggled a bit with figuring out the right blades for what job and which bowl but it will come with practice. It looks very professional in my kitchen!

Customer Buzz
This is a TOP-OF-THE-LINE product.... beautiful to look at, unlike so many other processors.... ease of use and cleaning is unbelievable and it slices, grates, chops, and dices in a matter of split-seconds. It is remarkable quiet for a food processor, very sturdy, and easy to use. I whole-heartedly and readily recommend this to anyone who loves to cook..... it makes life so much easier.

Customer Buzz
KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor, Brushed Nickel

I had an older food processor that wasn't very impressive. After purchasing a KitchenAid Mixer and being greatly pleased with my professional machine, I decided to do some research on this Food Processor. I was very pleased with the purchase and have been happy with the performance! I don't find it hard to clean because it disassembles and goes in the dishwasher. Also, having the 3 work bowls makes jobs and clean up much easier. I've used mine to slice cucumbers and squash, grate carrots and cheese, and to chop lots of items. I just used it on my eggs for dressed eggs. It processed the hard boiled yokes really smooth and very fast so that I could put the dish together much easier. I had to contact Kitchenaid about an issue and they have GREAT customer service! I just have to give this machine a big thumbs up all the way around!

Customer Buzz
After doing my research by looking at Consumer Reports, deciding what features were most important to me, and looking at different models in the store, I finally decided on this machine. I am happy to say that I am THRILLED with this food processor. It is powerful, stable, quiet (for a food processor), and easy to use. It also comes with a special case for all of the attachments. This processor is rather large and I would recommend keeping it on your counter because it would be too cumbersome to pull out of a cabinet every time one wanted to use it. It fits comfortably underneath my kitchen cabinets but measure just in case. My only complaint is that it can be a bit difficult to clean but I imagine that is the case with most food processors. Other than that, I am enjoying this machine and have had no trouble making pizza dough and other goodies.

Customer Buzz
Outstanding unit. A lot more bang for the buck than I thought I would get.
